<p><p><b>Job Description</b><br/><br/><b>Title </b>: Analyst, Algorithm Development Engineering<br/><br/><b>Experience </b>: 2 to 4 years<br/><br/><b>Location </b>: Chennai<br/><br/><b>Hybrid</b> - 3 days work from office<br/><br/><b>Must Have :</b><br/><br/><b>- C++ and Linux</b><br/><br/><b>- OpenCV, scikit-image, or MATLAB</b><br/><br/><b>- Min 1 year Computer vision and Image processing experience</b><br/><br/><b>Role And Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>You will be part of a Artificial Intelligence and High Performance Computing group that develops algorithms and software solutions that enhance the performance of our inspection tools.<br/><br/><b>Technical Skills :</b><br/><br/>Proficiency in conventional image processing techniques, including :<br/><br/>- Filtering (Gaussian, Median, etc.)<br/><br/>- Edge detection (Sobel, Canny)<br/><br/>- Thresholding, morphological operations, and histogram analysis<br/><br/>- Fourier Transforms<br/><br/>Familiarity with classical computer vision methods, such as :<br/><br/>- Feature extraction (SIFT, SURF, ORB)<br/><br/>- Object detection using Haar cascades or contour analysis<br/><br/>- Image registration, geometric transformations, and camera calibration<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with tools like OpenCV, scikit-image, or MATLAB.<br/><br/>- Expertise in C/C++, Linux Development.<br/><br/>- Good debugging skills in using gdb and Linux system utilities to troubleshoot timing sensitive distributed applications.<br/><br/><b>Analytical Abilities :</b><br/><br/>- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus and statistics.<br/><br/>- Ability to analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot visual data effectively.<br/><br/>- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.<br/><br/><b>Soft Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br/><br/>- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and customer environments.<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.<br/><br/><b>Mobility & Commitment :</b><br/><br/>- Willingness to travel to customer sites for long-term support engagements.<br/><br/>- Availability for on-site assignments lasting 12 months or more, depending on project requirements.<br/><br/><b>Things that can make us go Wow :</b><br/><br/>- Academic projects or internships involving image analysis or computer vision.<br/><br/>- Exposure to machine learning or deep learning for visual tasks.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
