The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent data processing solutions that extract structured information from unstructured documents and images.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, and optimize OCR-based data extraction pipelines using Python.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement and fine-tune models leveraging libraries like Tesseract, EasyOCR, OpenCV, or PaddleOCR.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain data preprocessing, feature extraction, and document parsing workflows.<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate OCR systems with internal APIs and databases for automated data flow.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work with machine learning models to improve text recognition accuracy and performance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable solutions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct performance testing, error analysis, and continuous optimization of extraction models.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven expertise in OCR technologies (e.g., Tesseract, OpenCV, EasyOCR, PaddleOCR).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with NLP and text analytics frameworks (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Transformers) is a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of computer vision concepts, image preprocessing, and deep learning.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience integrating models into production environments (REST APIs, Flask/FastAPI, etc.).<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with document layout analysis, PDF parsing, and handwritten text recognition (HTR).<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to cloud-based AI services (AWS Textract, Google Vision, Azure Form Recognizer).<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
